Towards the end of 2017 I began working with Finn from Blush Away Makeup to put together my first styled shoot! If you’re wondering what a styled shoot is, it’s essentially when a group of vendors get together to create a photo shoot. It’s a great way for vendors to get to know each other better by working together on a shoot. It pushes our creativity and gives us an opportunity to show off our work! It also serves as a good opportunity to try and get our work published, which in this case we were successful in having our styled shoot featured in Virginia Bride Magazine. You can see our feature on their website here!
Once we had Brett Denfeld Photography on board to photograph the shoot, Finn, Brett and I met up to bounce around ideas on what we wanted this shoot to look like! This meeting happened in the dead of winter, so we were definitely longing for bright, vibrant colors, and decided on a citrus color palette of light and dark pinks, orange, with brown leather elements and greenery. From there I put together a mood board to share the vision with other vendors we’d hope to work with!
I’m excited to share some of our favorite photos from this shoot! We wanted lots of color for this springtime look and I definitely think we accomplished that! Take a look and let us know what you think in the comments below! And be sure to check out all the amazing vendors who made this shoot possible by scrolling down below!
